The Baldur's Gate 3 Creators Reveal a New Divinity, Calling it Their Biggest RPG Yet
The buzz about The Game Awards was significant, notably after host Geoff Keighley posted an enigmatic image of a strange statue. The secret has now been solved. The acclaimed developer is developing a brand-new Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was showcased with a daring trailer featuring memorable imagery, from a burning man to an orgy and the literal unleashing of hell.
Not the Expected Sequel
Anyone hoping for Divinity Original Sin 3, this is not that. Larian warned that a third Original Sin game to its critically acclaimed RPGs is not currently in development.
Nevertheless, the developer described this new Divinity as a continuation of the main series. This choice of words suggests that the team is likely designing a faster-paced experience instead of another tactical title. At this moment, it remains theory, as only a teaser video is available.
