Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Fans' Second Season Predictions — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on Prime Video soon, and audience theories has been intense.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of characters living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds with musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The community's expectations for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with audience demands as the main goal," the showrunner stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just naturally. I also want to see these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator says her big-picture plan is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're anticipating happens this season.

"I believe people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the format of audience prediction charts.

"I've come across a few fans make a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've actually done a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on Prime Video on October 29.
